Emotion is at the heart of the capsule collection of necklaces with an ethno chic flavour, handmade by the designer for Martino Midali in a renewed and precious collaboration.
Enclosing emotion in a dress as in a piece of jewellery to transform it into a story to be shared is the secret of a special collaboration that is being renewed for the second year running. Martino Midali, in fact, has once again chosen to share with the creations of Barbara Cardamone Jewelry the essence of his aesthetic vision in which the emotional side combines with creativity to exalt femininity and passion and then translate them into clothes and jewellery that are the perfect corollary to those clothes. The result is a double capsule collection of necklaces handmade by the designer that explore the contamination between different cultures and territories, celebrating the idea of travel as an artistic inspiration and, at the same time, becoming the soul of real emotions to be worn, a reflection of Martino Midali's signature collections.
Starting with the first necklace created in the name of spring and its symbol, the flower, on the 23-carat matt gold structure of which petals of different stones in a thousand shades - from quartz to crystal, from agate to angelina - are 'placed' to create a chromatic kaleidoscope of strong impact. And not only on an aesthetic level. Because the necklaces emphasise all the meanings underlying the beautiful season to open up to a romantic and intense exploration of the self.
An encounter between East and West is the one achieved by the second capsule in which a vintage leather thread accommodates three different designs of necklaces, all united by the presence of different resin boules - in brushed antiqued Italian gold; bolt-cut from Agadir; antiqued with an amphora cut and originating from New York -, pearls and a resin boule with a 'pear' cut in antiqued gold. The character and authenticity guaranteed by the necklace settings combine with the craftsmanship and material memory of jewellery that attracts and illuminates the timeless elegance of Martino Midali's creations.
The opportunity to discover the capsule collections together with the new Spring Summer 2024 collection by Martino Midali is on Thursday 7 March at the brand's boutique in Monza, via Carlo Alberto 36, from 6 pm.

Barbara Cardamone, an Italian designer of unique and original bijoux with an ethno-chic flavour and made from semi-precious materials and stones, was born in Holland but grew up in Sicily, where she learnt the language of the strong colours of the sun mitigated by the sweetness of the sea. Through the search for the subtle harmony between dress and bijoux, the designer has created jewellery collections that interpret Martino Midali's philosophy. Creations that spring from her travels around the world and contact with different cultures, 'emotions to wear' in full continuity with the approach of the great Lombard designer. He also created the first jewellery capsule for the brand's 40th anniversary.
